After we experienced an incredible day at Griffith Park; my parents, Annabelle and I went down to Hollywood to watch the new musical “Wicked.” The show was held at the Pantages Theatre off of Hollywood Blvd. If you don’t know, Wicked is a prequel rendition for the “Wicked Witch of the West” and her sister the “Wicked Witch of the East” from the ”Wizard of OZ.” This was a great performance and we seriously can’t wait to go back to the Pantages Theatre. Overall, one great Birthday. Thanks Mom, Dad … and my new wife Annabelle.

I heard about this observatory watching the Discovery Channel and over the past year, my desire to experience it has only gotten worse. Finally we did it and it absolutely didn’t disappoint. The Griffith Park Observatory was brilliant and I without a doubt, learned more in those two hours of visiting and exploring than I ever knew about astronomy. Unfortunately I left there with more questions than I had going in. It was an amazing experience with my parents and Annabelle that I would definitely recommend to everyone!

We spent the day at Disneyland and we enjoyed the “Happiest Place on Earth” on into the late late evening. We finally left the park at about 12:30am to find our intoxicated selves at Mille’s, a fine restaurant that smelled of Pine Sol and Las Vegas. We finally ended the night at our hotel directly across from the “Tower of Terror.” The next morning we met at the Garden Walk out door mall in Anaheim. We had a delicious brunch at the Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed the amazing morning. Anna and I headed back to San Diego to call it a day.

Once we got to their house on Christmas eve, we jumped in their convertible with blankets and hot chocolate to look at the christmas lights that surround their community lake. The lights are spectacular with each neighbor trying to out-preform the other. Christmas morning dad and I went off to church while mom and Annabelle made my mom’s famous Christmas “Sticky-buns,” and if you haven’t tried them, you are definitely missing out. Once we got back from church we opened our amazing presents. I got the new Tamron SP 10-24mm Di II lens and Annabelle got her Valentino black-bow purse. All in all it was a very successful Christmas.

The locals call it 7 mile beach or paper beach because it literally spans 7 miles long and is as white as paper. This is where we went for our honeymoon on November 28, 2011. When we arrived, we just missed a storm which churned up the water something dark. Fortunately it only took a few days for the water to turn back to it’s natural “bath water” color. We met great people, some from Jamaica and some from Idaho (Uncle Monté and Uncle Jed. We experienced great food, some from the resort and some not (“Alberts Sea-Food and Show”). We saw new culture, some from locals and some from our newly wedded points of views (glass bottom boat aka dance glass bottom boat parties). Over all, I’d do it again. But only with Anna ..

Today is my first day using WordPress and I hope as time goes by, you enjoy what I have to share. As far as my life now; I asked by girlfriend (Annabelle) to marry me on Christmas 2010. Over the past year we have been engaged. We set our date and got married on November 26, 2011. We took our honeymoon to Sandals Resort in Negril, Jamaica. Since our return, we have simply enjoyed the holidays as we celebrated our first Christmas as a married couple and beautiful New Year! I hope you enjoy.
